CariCon Mission Statement

CARICON’s mission is to promote and expand Caribbean literature across the diaspora by elevating publishing opportunities for authors and raising awareness of the region’s contributions to the global literary landscape. Through cultural exchanges, festivals, youth programming, and professional development, we connect authors, readers, educators, and industry partners, supporting the growth of literary talent across the Caribbean and beyond.

As part of this mission, CARICON leads the CARICON Resilience Fund, a recovery and support program that strengthens the creative community during and after natural disasters. The Fund provides resources, equipment, and rebuilding assistance to authors, artists, libraries, schools, and youth arts programs affected by crises, ensuring that cultural expression and storytelling can continue even in times of hardship.
